2025 has turned into a busy year! And I have been lax in reporting what’s going on here on the site. In October, I was asked to show my Chiyogami portraits and related art in Sheffield at a shop I love called Moonko. As soon as I returned from Brighton, we got to work with organizing and preparing for the show.
Debra, the owner, is a wonderful human being and also an artist herself. Her work covers the walls of the space and she recently concluded a show in Paris, France, in November 2025.
The works on display are my remaining (and available for purchase) Chiyogami portraits, the remaining origami crane strands from the Japan senbazuru, kintsugi repaired items, greeting cards and postcards, and stickers. A3 prints are available to order by QR code online (scan sheet in the shop).
The exhibition is from 12 December 2025 – mid-January 2026. The shop is open until 5 or 6pm most days, including Sundays and is located at 89 Division Street, Sheffield S1 4GE. There are many parking lots nearby and it is in the walkable part of the city center.
We held the opening events this past weekend on Friday 12th December and Saturday 13th December. Both were well attended by friends, coworkers, and local members of the community – new friends! Both events were lovely with great energy, nice music, good wine, and samosas provided by Sheeby’s Kitchen Sheffield, located right across the street!
If you are in the area, please do stop in and say hello! There are plenty of other artists with work in the shop to view, and it’s the perfect place to get a LOT of your holiday shopping done. Support local businesses and artists, shop local, make new connections in the community! And if you would like me to meet up with you to go to the shop and talk about the work, send me a message! I’m glad to talk about my art with people in the area!
