I’ve been busy, haven’t I?

I’m very happy to share that Releasing Barbara has been awarded Honorable Mention in Teravarna’s current exhibition, 11th Flower.

Upon viewing the winners and entries to this exhibition, I appreciate being awarded Honorable Mention as many of the other artworks featured in the show are either realistic, photographic images, or extreme close-ups of flowers.

Releasing Barbara is indeed an outlier, which is where I prefer to be.

I am making a special limited run of Davids to celebrate and commemorate my experience at the XIV Florence Biennale.

The idea came to me as I was walking to the Fortezza da Basso on the second day of the event. I had seen the small white Davids the day before, but on this day, I saw the hot pink Davids. These match the Jupiter Overtakes Saturn triptych, which I showed at the XIV Florence Biennale. 

It came on so suddenly. The Davids. Duchamp. R. Mutt. A urinal. My art.

There was no choice. I had to do it. 

I plan to make one for myself and then release the other four into the world. Naturally, I will document the entire process on my Instagram account, so stay tuned and watch them get made over there!
